Thomas Muller scored twice and Ivan Perisic and Serge Gnabry also found the net as Bayern went into the break 4-1 up - Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski and a brace from substitute Philippe Coutinho piled on the agony in the second half as Barcelona conceded eight goals for the first time since 1946. Scant consolation for Barcelona came from David Alaba's own goal in the first half and a Luis Suarez effort in the second. Seeking their 6th continental title and first since 2013, Bayern will next face either Manchester City or Lyon, who meet on Saturday in the last of the quarter-finals.
