Football: ‘Diakhaby told us to return to the pitch’ after alleged racial insult - Valencia captain Gaya

Valencia stopped playing their Spanish league game at Cádiz on Sunday and walked off the pitch after one of their players Mouctar Diakhaby said he was racially insulted by Cádiz defender Juan Cala, who denied any wrongdoing. However the team returned 20 minutes later and finished the game, losing 2-1. Captain Jose Gaya said after the match that Diakhaby had asked his teammates to resume the game as they were feeling threatened by the referee with the loss of points.
