Football: Al Sadd thrash Al Kharitiyath 7-1 in the Qatar Stars League

Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah scored a hat-trick to boost his overall tally to 19 goals this season as Al Sadd thrashed Al Kharitiyath 7-1 in the Qatar Stars League at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha. Bounedjah scored in the first half, and two more goals after the break, as the hosts raced to a comfortable victory. Hamid Ismaeil, Abdelkarim Hassan, Akram Afif's penalty and Ahmed Sayyar in stoppage time all registered for Al Sadd. Mahmoud Abdelhamid Saad scored a scant consolation for Al Kharitiyath in the 82nd minute.
