Cycling: Route of postponed 2020 Giro d'Italia is revealed

The route for the 103rd Giro d'Italia was revealed on Thursday after organisers were forced to make changes due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event will start with a 16km time trial in Sicily on 3rd October - but was originally due to begin in Hungary in May. Two new stages on days five and six have been added to replace the Sicily stages which have been brought forward, while the final stage in Milan, on 25th October, will also be a time trial. Ecuador's Movistar rider Richard Carapaz will defend the title he won in 2019.
