Scotland have qualified for the Super 12 stage with a 100 percent record of 3 wins in 3 matches in Round 1. Scotland knock Oman out in the unannounced knockout game of Group B. They beat Oman by 8 wickets with 18 balls in hand to ensure their place in Super 12 as group champions. They started cautiously chasing 123. They eased through to their win by the virtue of Kyle Coetzer's 41 off 28 and Richie Berrington's 31 off 21 and made their way to play with the big boys of World T20 for the first time. They defeated hosts Oman by 8 wickets on Thursday to seal their spot for the next stage by finishing at top of their group, courtesy of which they are now clubbed alongside India, Pakistan, NZ, Afghanistan and the team which will finish second on Group A.
