Chelsea to offer two players to Inter Milan in Andre Onana proposal?

Chelsea are said to be willing to include Romelu Lukaku and Kalidou Koulibaly in any bid for Inter Milan custodian Andre Onana.

The Blues are currently prepared for a summer of turmoil after failing to qualify for Europe and needing to improve their FFP status.

As of now, movement has been limited, but this is expected to alter in the near future, with monies needed by June 30 to aid with the accounting for that fiscal year.

Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be interested in signing a new custodian to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, which means either Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy might be transferred.

If rumours are to be accepted, Onana and AC Milan's Mike Maignan are Chelsea's chosen goalkeepers, with the former reportedly having already agreed to personal terms.

Onana was instrumental in Inter's run to the Champions League final, which they lost to Manchester City, and it appears like he will stay at San Siro.

However, considering the necessity to address other squad issues ahead of 2023-24, there is still room for a transfer, which Chelsea appear eager to take advantage of.

According to The Sun, the West Londoners have told Inter that they are willing to include Lukaku and Koulibaly in any deal for Onana.

Lukaku just finished a season on loan at his former club, contributing 14 goals and seven assists in a much stronger second half of the season.

President Steven Zhang has publicly stated that more conversations with Chelsea will take place, however finding a solution that is acceptable to all parties may be challenging.

Meanwhile, Koulibaly struggled for consistency during his first season at Chelsea and is unlikely to be first choice under Pochettino in a season in which Chelsea will only play domestically.

The Senegal international made his reputation in Italy with Napoli, and the departure of Milan Skriniar and the anticipated departure of Stefan de Vrij may necessitate Inter signing another experienced defender.

Although Chelsea's assessment of Koulibaly is unknown, they allegedly spent £33 million for his signature less than a year ago and are unlikely to considerably reduce that amount given their hardball stances with previous players.
