The Los Angeles Lakers secured a record-equalling 17th championship after a dominant win over the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. The 106-93 in Orlando win sees LeBron James win his fourth championship at his third team, with the 35-year-old also named Finals MVP - becoming the first player in history to do so with three different teams. James finished with another triple-double, after a night which included 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. The Lakers had missed the playoffs for six consecutive seasons and last won the title in 2010, but in a year in which Lakers legend Kobe Bryant was tragically killed in a helicopter crash, this seemed a fitting conclusion.
