BASKETBALL : Bayern Munich defeat Zenit St Petersburg in Euroleague

Valdimir Lucic’s 17 points paved the way for Bayern Munich’s easy win against Zenit St Petersburg. Bayern defeat Petersburg 77-69 in the Round 13 of Euroleague. The first quarter was largely forgettable - but that was in complete contrast to the second which had everything - great blocks, defensive rebounds, spectacular three-point plays and a brilliant buzzer-beating basket from the halfway line from Zenit's Alex Renfroe. Bayern consolidated their lead in the third quarter - ensuring the final period was a comfortable one for them, Zenit falling to their tenth defeat in the 13 rounds.
