Badminton News : Mixed day for Indian shuttlers at Thailand Open second leg

It was a mixed day for Indian shuttlers at the second leg of Thailand Open as Sameer Verma could not make it to the semi-finals after losing to Denmark’s Anders Antonsen 13-21, 21-19, 20-22, whereas mixed doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponappa got better of their Malaysian opponents Soon Chan and Liu Ying Goh 18-21, 24-22, 22-20 and cemented their place in semi-final clash. Rankireddy and Ponappa will now face the winners of the other quarterfinal match between top seeds Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai of Thailand and Korean duo of Sung Hyun Ko and Hye Won Eom for a place in the finals.
