Serbia's Dusan Lajovic defeated third seed Grigor Dimitrov in three sets to reach the quarter-finals in Beijing. World number 55 Dusan Lajovic upset third seed Grigor Dimitrov 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 in the Round of 16 of the China Open. A lone break in Dimitrov's opening service was enough for the Serbian to win the first set 6-4. In the second set, the third seed broke Lajovic's service in the second, sixth and eight games to send the match into a decider. Dimitrov, who made nine double faults in the whole game allowed Lajovic to serve for the match in the tenth game to take the victory after one hour and 53 minutes.
