Tennis: Pliskova beats Sakkari in straight sets to reach second round in Palermo

Czech Republic's Kristyna Pliskova upset third-seed Maria Sakkari of Greece in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Palermo Open on Monday. Pliskova now is facing Italy's Sara Errani for a place in the quarter-finals.
