Tennis News: Sumit Nagal to face Stanislas Wawrinka in QF

India's top singles player Sumit Nagal enters the men's singles quarterfinals of the Prague Open with a hard-fought victory over lower-ranked Kiri Lehecka by beating him 5-7 7-6 6-3 in two hours and 21 minutes in the second round contest of the clay court event. Nagal lost the opening set but clawed his way back in the tie-breaker of the 2nd set and then went on to win the 3rd and final set quite comfortably. Sixth seed and world number 127 Nagal will now face grand slam winner Stanislas Wawrinka. Wawrinka beat J Clarke 3-6 7-5 6-1 in one-hour and 54-minute. In the men's doubles category the top seeded Indo-Dutch pair of Divij Sharan and Robin Haase also entered the quarterfinals with a comfortable 6-3 6-2 win over Jonas Forejtek and Michael Vrbensky. Another Indian advancing to the doubles quarterfinals was N Sriram Balaji who has paired with Belgium’s Kimmer Coppejans. They defeated Andres Molteni and Hugo Nys 7-5 4-6 10-6 in their round of 16 match.
