Tennis News: Miami Masters 2019 Preview - Prajnesh; Roger & Novak; Sunshine Double

The second ATP Masters 1000 event of the year is underway in Miami. Although Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin Del Potro have withdrawn from the tournament, the likes of Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer will lead the men's field. Indian Wells champion Dominic Thiem too will be looking to create history. Also, David Ferrer who was the finalist in 2013 will be seen one last time in Miami. The Spaniard is all set to retire during the clay court season and has been handed a wild card. He will take on American Sam Querry in the first round. As far as Indian hopes go, once again it will be Prajnesh Gunneswaran who will be the lone man in the main draw. After beating Britain's Jay Clarke in the final qualifying round yesterday, the southpaw will lock horns against World No. 61 Jaume Munar from Spain. Prajnesh is currently ranked 84 after his impressive showing in the Californian desert last week and will be keen on further bettering his ranking in Miami.
