Tennis: Monica Puig beats Anett Kontaveit at the Connecticut Open

Monica Puig and Anett Kontaveit had a long and grueling first set that lasted 10 games. Anett Kontaveit took an early lead in the first set, 4-3, but Monica Puig was able to break point by winning Game 8. Monica Puig was eventually victorious 6-4 winning the first set. In the second set, Monica Puig was once again victorious, this time 6-3. In the final game and match point, Anett Kontaveit attempted a drop shot, but it hit the net giving Monica Puig the victory in straight sets.
