Tennis: Karolina Pliskova beats Dominika Cibulkova in Dubai Tennis Championships

Karolina Pliskova fended off an impressive challenge from Dominika Cibulkova to close out a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 victory to reach the round of 16 at the Dubai Tennis Championships. Pliskova - the fourth seed - seemed to be in total control after the opening set, but Cibulkova raised her level in the second set and eased into a 3-0 lead before successfully defending her advantage to take the match into a deciding set.
