Tennis: Dominic Theim cruises past Marton Fucsovics and into Hamburg last eight

Top seed Dominic Thiem booked his place in the quarter-finals at the Hamburg European Open, following a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Marton Fucsovics of Hungary. Fucsovics put up some stiff resistance in the opening set, saving eight break points along the way, but after Thiem finally got through in the 12th game to take the first set, the Austrian world number four ran through the second in just 28 minutes. Thiem will next face Russia's Andrey Rublev after he beat Casper Ruud of Norway 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 earlier in the day.
