Tennis: Auger-Aliassime defeats Coric to advance to Miami Open semi-finals

Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime made history at the Miami Open on Wednesday. The Montreal teenager became the youngest semi-finalist in the 34-year history of the event with a 7-6(3), 6-2 win over Croatian 11th seed Borna Coric. The 18-year-old is the second qualifier to make the semi-finals of the Miami Open, after Guillermo Canas of Argentina accomplished the feat in 2007. Auger-Aliassime will face the USA's John Isner, ranked ninth in the world, on Friday and he might not be the only Canadian teenager in the men's semi-finals. Compatriot Denis Shapovalov, 19-years-old, faces Frances Tiafoe on Thursday for a place in the last four. It's the first time two Canadians have reached the quarter-finals or better in an ATP Masters 1000 event since Milos Raonic and Vasek Pospisil at the 2013 Rogers Cup in Montreal.
