Motor Sport: MotoGP rookie Quartararo takes pole position in Yamaha one-two in Jerez

Petronas SRT Yamaha claimed a one-two in MotoGP qualifying on Saturday with rookie rider Fabio Quartararo taking pole position in Jerez. The 20-year-old Frenchman posted a time of one minute and 36.880 seconds, becoming the new record holder for fastest lap in Jerez. Quartararo's team-mate Franco Morbidelli was 0.082 seconds behind, while reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez was 0.090 seconds slower than the leader. Jorge Navarro took pole position in Moto2, while Lorenzo Dalla Porta took pole position in Moto3.
