Golf: Ortiz holds one shot lead ahead of final round of Latin American Amateur Champs

Mexico's Alvaro Ortiz reclaimed the lead of the Latin American Amateur Championships (LAAC) in the Dominican Republic on Saturday. Ortiz led by three shots after an opening round 66, but fell one shot back following a 72 in round two. But a 70 in his third round on Saturday moved Ortiz to eight under overall, one shot ahead of Chile's Agustin Errazuriz and Peru's Luis Fernando Barco - with the duo tied for second. Overnight leader and home favourite Juan Cayro Delgado has fallen six shots off the pace in 10th place, after he carded a disappointing 77 in his third round. Ortiz has finished as runner-up at this event in each of the last two years, which included a playoff defeat in 2017. He will hope it's third time lucky ahead of Sunday's final round, with a place in this year's Masters up for grabs for the winner of the LAAC.
