River Plate won the Copa Libertadores title for the fourth time, beating Boca Juniors 3-1 in extra time in the second leg of the final. River won the Copa Libertadores title 5-3 on aggregate in Madrid. Dario Benedetto drew the first blood for Boca in the 44th minute. The first half ended Boca 1-0 up. Lucas Pratto levelled the match in the 68th minute and Gonzalo Martinez scored in the 122nd minute to win the title 3-1 for River Plate.
