Football: Lampard taking Man United 'at face value' in unpredictable season

Both teams have endured a rocky start to the Premier League season ahead of Saturday's meeting at Old Trafford. Frank Lampard: “I think the league’s unpredictable. You can analyse Manchester [United] there, we could talk about certain games where big teams have conceded a lot of goals or there’s been big turnarounds in games. We’ve been part of one of those, so have others. I’m not really interested in that. I think Manchester United are a really good team. We played them enough last year to know that, and I’m not concerned about what might have happened in games before. I take them at face value "They’re a quality team, got quality individuals, quality organisation. You saw how they went to Paris in midweek and got a fantastic result. Everything is very close in the league. Everybody is in and around themselves, teams around us that would expect to be up there. We’re at that level at the moment. It’s an opportunity to get some very hard-earned points, but it’s going to be a really tough match."
