Football: Fans riot to protest Cruzerio’s relegation to Brazilian second division

Brazilian giants Cruzeiro lost a crucial encounter to Palmeiras 0-2 at home and relegated to the country’s second division. Fans at Belo Horizonte could not resist the setback and start throwing seats onto the field in protest. Due to riots by fans at the stands match was abandoned at the 85th minute. Referee Marcelo de Lima Henrique decided to end the match due to lack of security.
