Football: Benfica defeat 9-man Rio Ave 2-1 to lead Portuguese Primeira Liga

Substitute Julian Weigl scored a second half winner to help Benfica to beat 9-men Rio Ave in Round 27 of the Portuguese Primeira Liga. Bruno Lage's team end with a four games winless streak after four consecutive draws. Rio Ave played most of the second half with nine men after Nuno Santos and Ali Elmusrati were sent off. Benfica led the standings with 64 points after Porto were held by Aves nil-nil.
