Football: Arteta praises Leno performance in Arsenal shootout win

Mikel Arteta praised the performance of Bernd Leno after Arsenal beat Liverpool on penalties in the EFL Cup. Arteta: "We had two fantastic goalkeepers [last season] that were both performing really well, Bernd [Leon] before he had the injury and then Emi [Martinez] when he came in. We had to make decisions, I think it was a moment where Emi needed the next step and financially it was a really interesting proposal for us and we need to manage the resources we have to strengthen the team. I'm really happy for [Leno], for his performance, the character that he's shown tonight and he was really helpful to get us through to the next round."
