Cricket News: Team India lands in Sydney for Australia tour

Indian cricket team arrived in Sydney for the upcoming tour of Australia comprising three One-day Internationals, three Twenty20 Internationals and four Test matches. Indian team in their customised PPE kits and masks had departed from Dubai after taking part in IPL 2020. The players will now undergo mandatory two-weeks quarantine. The two-month long tour gets underway with the ODI series starting November 27 in Sydney which will be Team India's first international match post forced corona lockdown. After ODIs, Virat Kohli and company will play 3 T20s and then the four-match Test series will see India playing their first-ever day-night Test overseas. Adelaide Oval will host the day-night Test. Pacer Ishant Sharma who is recovering from an injury will join the squad only after proving his fitness at the National Cricket Academy. Rohit Sharma has been rested for the limited overs leg of the Australian tour while India's wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Sahahas travelled with the team but the BCCI announced earlier that a call on his availability will be taken later.
