Cricket News: Ombudsman DK Jain sends notice to Tendulkar & Laxman

Not too long ago former India captain Sourav Ganguly was served notices by BCCI's Ombudsman-cum-Ethics Officer DK Jain for their alleged conflict of interest by serving as mentors of IPL franchise as well as member of Cricket Advisory Committee. Now master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and batting maestro VVS Laxman are also served notices by BCCI's Ombudsman-cum-Ethics Officer DK Jain for the same. The complaint was filed by Sanjeev Gupta, a member of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association. Sachin Tendulkar is associated with Mumbai Indians' as a mentor. According to BCCI sources that Tendulkar has no financial contract with Mumbai Indians and all three are doing voluntary service as members of the Cricket Advisory Committee. Just like Sachin Tendulkar VVS Laxman is also a mentor for Sunrisers Hyderabad and also a member of the Cricket Advisory Committee. Justice Jain in his notice has asked both Tendulkar and Laxman to file written responses to the allegations by April 28 and has also simultaneously asked BCCI to file their response.
