Defending champions Mumbai will take on two time champions Kolkata at the Sheikh Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi. Mumbai are currently placed at 2nd spot in points table and a win will take them to the top of points table displacing Delhi. It will be a revenge match for 4th placed Kolkata as they lost their previous match to Mumbai by a big margin of 49 runs at the same venue in Abu Dhabi. Mumbai also leads in the head-to-head encounters winning 20 out off 26 matches played against Kolkata.
