Cricket News: IPL 2020 - Delhi beat Bangalore, both qualify for play-offs

Delhi beat Bangalore by 6 wickets at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi to finish 2nd in the IPL 2020 points table and they will now face Mumbai in qualifier-1 while Bangalore also made it to the playoffs despite the defeat. Despite the defeat, Virat Kohli and company also made it to the knockout stage, thanks to their superior net run-rate than Kolkata. Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada excelled with the ball as Nortje picked up 3 wickets taking his tally to 19 wickets in 13 matches. Rabada once again became the leading wicket-taker of IPL 2020 taking his tally to 25 wickets in 14 matches. Both helped Delhi restrict Bangalore to 152/7 in 20 overs with Devdutt Padikkal scoring 50 off 41-balls. Chasing the target, Delhi lost an early wicket in the form of Prithvi Shaw. After Prithvi Shaw's defeat, Ajinkya Rahane came in and forged an 88-run partnership with in-form opener Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan scored 54 off 41 balls and Ajinkya Rahane scored 60 off 46 balls as Delhi chased down the target in 19 overs and beat Bangalore by 6 wickets.
