Afghanistan followed up their victory over Sri Lanka at the Asia Cup by strolling past Bangladesh by 136 runs in Abu Dhabi. Their win was inspired by a superb all-around performance from brilliant leg-spinner Rashid Khan on his 20th birthday. Rashid helped his side up to 255 for 7 with an innings of 57 not out, made from just 32 deliveries. He was helped by Gulbadin Naib who made an unbeaten 42 as the pair put on an undefeated 97 for the eighth wicket - an Afghanistan ODI record. He then got into the act with the ball, taking two for 13 - and even added a direct hit for a run-out later in the Bangladesh innings for good measure. Rashid was unsurprisingly voted man of the match and admitted afterwards: "I think you can't ask for a better performance on a birthday day. It was a special day for me, special performance against Bangladesh."
