Basketball: Butler inspires Heat to crucial win

Jimmy Butler turned in a hugely impressive display for the Miami Heat to breathe life back into the NBA Finals. The 31-year-old forward produced a scintillating triple-double to lead the Heat to a 115-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, and reduce their arrears to 2-1 in the best-of-7 series. Butler scored 40 points, added 13 assists and collected 11 rebounds to comprehensively out-play both LeBron James and Anthony Davis. In doing so, he became the first player with 40+ points and 12+ assists in an NBA Finals game since Jerry West in the decisive Game 7 in 1969. Game 4 takes place on Tuesday.
