Basketball: Baskonia return to winning ways after 85-77 victory away to Khimki Moscow Region

Baskonia returned to winning ways on Thursday following an 85-77 victory on the road at Khimki Moscow Region. The visitors have been without the EuroLeague top scorer Alexey Shved and power forward Anthony Gill through injury but showed no signs of missing the pair at the Mytishchi Arena just outside Moscow. Shavon Shields paced the winners with 15 points while Johannes Voigtmann and Darrun Hilliard netted 14 apiece. Jordan Mickey led the hosts with 19 points with Stefan Markovic adding a further 14. Baskonia's third consecutive away win saw them improve to 7-8 in the standings, while Khimki dropped to 5-10 following defeat.
