Athletics: First day of athletics at Summer Universiade

Athletics got underway Tuesday at the Summer Universiade in Naples, Italy with Brazil's Paul Andre Camilo winning men's 100m gold medal in 10.09 while India's Dutee Chand winning women's 100m gold medal in 11.32. In Swimming, claiming the first gold medal of the night was Japan's Waka Kobori, who claimed top spot in the women's 800m Freestyle. Silver went to Russia's Irina Prikhodko, with Kobori's teammate Chinatsu Sato picking up bronze. The men's 100m Butterfly produced a stunning outcome as Japan's Shinnosuke Ishikawa and Russia's Egor Kuimov both finished in 52.05 to share the gold medal.
