Asian Games: Deepak Kumar wins 10m Air Rifle silver at Asian Games

India's Deepak Kumar claimed the 10-metre Air Rifle silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games. The 30-year-old shot 247.7 to finish second behind defending champion, China's Haoran Yang on 249.1. This was India's third medal of the games, after wrestler Bajrang Punia won gold and Ravi Kumar and Apurvi Chandela won the bronze medal in the 10-metre mixed air rifle event. Kumar was not in contention for a medal until the 18th shot, when he produced a 10.9 which gave him the opportunity to earn his maiden Asian Games medal.
