Golf News : Min Woo Lee birdie on first play-off hole wins Scottish Open

Twenty-two-year-old Australian Min Woo Lee overcame England's Matt Fitzpatrick and Thomas Detry of Belgium on the first hole of a play-off to win the Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick on Sunday. Lee birdied the 18th to secure his second title on the European Tour after the trio ended their four rounds on 18 under par, one shot clear of English veteran Ian Poulter, Ryan Palmer of the United States and another Australian, Lucas Herbert, who won the Irish Open last week. World number one Jon Rahm finished a further shot back on 16 under, alone in 7th. A tense final round was delayed for an hour and a half while an electrical storm passed overhead and the hooter to stop play sounded just as Detry, who was leading at the time, addressed a par putt at the 14th - which he missed
