Golf: LPGA Hall of Famer Inbee Park shoots 66 to lead by a stroke at Kia Classic

LPGA Hall of Famer Inbee Park of South Korea shot a brilliant six-under 66 in wet conditions to lead by a stroke after the opening round of the Kia Classic in Carlsbad, California on Thursday. Park's compatriot Hyo Joo Kim is outright second at five-under 67 while Ingee Chun and Sophia Popov of Germany lie join third at four-under 68. The tournament is the first for Michelle Wie West, who is returning to professional golf after giving birth to her daughter, after a gap of two years. Wie West shot a round of nine-over 81.
