Golf: Horsfield takes lead after second round of the European Tour's Celtic Classic

Sam Horsfield (-11) has taken a one-shot lead at the halfway point of the European Tour's Celtic Classic at Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales. The Englishman finished with a 64 after attacking the course early and erasing his three-shot deficit to overnight leader Thomas Pieters on the front nine. Five birdies and an eagle on the back saw him take the lead, which could have been greater if not for a triple-bogey on the 17th. Pieters meanwhile shot a 68 to end the day a stroke back at 10-under, while Callum Shinkwin (65), Andrew Johnston (66) and Thomas Detry (66) are at nine-under.
