Champions Yokohama F.Marinos were held to a frustrating goalless draw against Urawa Reds as the top division of the J League resumed on Saturday. F.Marinos dominated possession but lacked the cutting the edge upfront to settle for a point in Saitama. F.Marinos lost 2-1 on the opening day of the season to Gamba Osaka at home back in February before the football season in Japan was stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
