Football: Qatar advance to Asian Cup semi-finals thanks to 1-0 victory over South Korea

Qatar made it to the semi-finals of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup after beating Korea Republic 1-0 in Abu Dhabi on Friday. Despite several Korean chances, it was Qatar who broke the deadlock in the 78th minute courtesy of Abdulaziz Hatem. Korea thought they equalised two minutes later, but Hwang Ui-jo's effort was ruled offside. Qatar's next opponents will come from the later quarter-final between Australia and tournament hosts United Arab Emirates.
