Football: Premier League suspended indefinitely due to coronavirus pandemic

The Premier League governing body announced the suspension of the tournament indefinitely and hence it will not resume at the beginning of May. The Premier League was suspended indefinitely following a meeting of 20 clubs, decided to start only when it is safe. Earlier, the English league had given a tentative return date of April 30. However, it said now it will return when it is safe and appropriate.
