China's Foreign Ministry has said that Mesut Ozil's criticism of the treatment of ethnic Muslims in the country was deceived and misled. Ozil of Turkish descent recently criticised Beijing's brutal mass crackdown on ethnic Uighur Muslims in a post on social media.
