Paul Pogba will join Juventus on a free transfer and a four-year deal, according to an agreement.
Pogba is scheduled to get a medical and officially sign the contract on Saturday in Turin. Since January, the France international has been free to discuss his next move with clubs.
When his contract with Manchester United expired last month, Pogba quit the team.
Pogba would be returning to Juventus, the team he played for for four years before joining Manchester United in 2016.
Pogba is aware that this could be his final major professional move as he approaches his 30s and wants to take his time to make the best choice possible.
Pep Guardiola spoke with Pogba and the club drafted a lucrative contract to show their interest in signing the midfielder from bitter rivals United. Manchester City also made a surprising bid to get Pogba from United.
The World Cup winner did take City's offer into consideration, but he decided it would not be worth the commotion and hostility that would follow.
Despite the midfielder apparently receiving two contracts for more than £290,000 a week, Pogba claimed United gave him "nothing."
he was offered a 3.5 per cent increase on his contract.
In 'The Pogmentary', Pogba speaks to his late agent Mino Raiola about United's second proposal last July.
The time when Man United signed Paul Pogba
It is the 2016 summer. Manchester United is led by Jose Mourinho, and the team recently smashed the global transfer record. Old Trafford has welcomed a Frenchman back to complete unfinished business.
"This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game," Paul Pogba said after completing his £89m move back to United from Juventus.
"He has the chance to be at the heart of this club for the next decade and beyond," Mourinho added.
It was a transaction that went viral on social media. Pogba's announcement video was followed by a sponsored music clip with Stormzy, who emerged from the shadows with a red demon inscribed into his hair. The #POGBACK buzz has already started.
It was meant to be the beginning of something extraordinary. A new era for a team that was still getting its bearings three years after Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
But Pogba has failed to lead United to their previous heights. The only trophies from his six-season stint are the 2017 League Cup and Europa League.
