Already trailing 1-nil Wednesday, Orlando City lost their leader Nani to a red card in the 35th minute and went on to fall to Montreal, 4-2. The Lions went down to nine men after Andres Pera saw a straight red in the 83rd minute, but by then the match was lost. Orlando trailed 2-nil moments after Nani's ejection but battled back to tie the match at two just over the hour mark, before Montreal struck for back-to-back goals to put the match away. Lassi Lappalainen scored his first goal of the year to break the deadlock in the 73rd minute and Sunusi Ibrahim added the insurance marker seven minutes later.
