Football News : Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha eyeing Liverpool move

Attacker Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace allegedly has Liverpool on his radar for the upcoming season. Despite continuous rumours about his future over recent transfer windows, the 29-year-old has now played for Selhurst Park for more than seven years.

For the Eagles, Zaha has had a solid start to the 2022-23 season, scoring five goals and assisting on another in nine Premier League games.

In Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Ivory Coast international scored the game-winning goal for Patrick Vieira's team. He also attracted attention for his all-around attacking display.

Zaha, though, is now set to become a free agent at the end of the current campaign after failing to renew his contract at Selhurst Park since signing new terms in 2018.

In the summer transfer window, Zaha was reportedly a target for Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, but neither team ended up making a bid for him. According to a September report, Palace reportedly gave the former Manchester United player a new, long-term contract because Vieira wanted to bind him to the club before he became free to speak with overseas clubs in January.

Zaha is rumoured to be unsure about his future, but the attacker is "extremely fond" of Liverpool and would welcome a move to Jurgen Klopp's team, according to Calciomercato.

As Sadio Mane, Divock Origi, and Takumi Minamino all left the team in the summer, Liverpool manager Klopp oversaw a mini-restructuring of his offensive ranks.

Though Diaz and Jota have been out with knee and calf ailments, respectively, and the latter has been ruled out of Portugal's World Cup campaign, Klopp's ranks in the final third have gotten thinner recently.

Nunez hasn't been in his finest form since moving to Liverpool in a £64 million deal from Benfica, but on Wednesday night, his header gave Liverpool a 1-0 victory over West Ham United.

The Reds will go to Nottingham Forest on Saturday looking for their third straight victory after moving up past Brighton & Hove Albion into seventh place in the Premier League rankings.

Prior to their weekend journey to Merseyside to play Everton, Palace, who Zaha has 88 goals and 74 assists for in 439 games, are ranked 10th in the standings.
