Football News: Bayern Munich midfielder keen on Liverpool move this summer

Ryan Gravenberch, the midfielder for Bayern Munich, is said to be interested in joining Liverpool. Gravenberch decided to leave Ajax for Bayern during the summer transfer window, despite interest from other prominent European clubs.

However, the 20-year-old's progress has stalled at the Allianz Arena, where he is a regular on the substitutes' bench. Out of the 24 appearances, 21 have been from the substitute bench for the Dutch international.

Ryan is suffering from lack of game time at Bayern with a total game time of only 584 minutes since joining the German giants. While under the new manager Thomas Tuchel, it is expected that Gravenberch will be given more opportunities.

However, so far, the Dutchman has only received 27 minutes of playing time under the new head coach. This lack of progress has fuelled further speculation about his future at Allianz Arena.

While as per the recent reports it has been claimed that Liverpool had already attempted to strike a deal. Now, Gravenberch has become "enthusiastic" about joining the Merseyside giants, according to Sky Sports News.

According to the sources, Gravenberch appreciates the Premier League club's interest in him both last year and in recent months.

Jurgen Klopp has officially revealed that he will refresh his midfield for 2023-24, owing in part to his team's poor performance in the Premier League.

Nonetheless, with the contracts of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain expiring in the summer and James Milner potentially following suit, the German is forced to act.

Liverpool had been prepared to enter the hunt to sign Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham until pulling out last week.

Klopp and the club's investors are said to prefer signing a handful of players rather than investing more than £100 million on the England international.

Despite the scheduled arrival of Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich is thought to be opposed selling Gravenberch.
