Robert Lewandowski's 46th goal of the season propelled Bayern Munich into the German Cup final on Wednesday after they beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at the Allianz Arena. The cup holders won their sixth straight game since the season restarted, but Hansi Flick's men made hard work of it. Bayer dominated from the start and ought to have put the game beyond Frankfurt in the first half, but they only had Ivan Perisic's 14th-minute header to show for their efforts. Frankfurt improved after the break and equalised on 69 minutes after Danny da Costa pounced on a loose ball in the Bayern penalty area. However, the goal brought Bayern back to life and Lewandowski poked in five minutes later to win the tie for the home side after a VAR review. Bayern have the chance to win the Geman Cup for the 20th time when they eet Bayer Leverkusen in the final in Berlin on 4th July.
