Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted he had exchanged words with opposite number Jose Mourinho in the tunnel at half-time after United had a goal controversially disallowed before going on to beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 on Sunday. Edinson Cavani's goal was ruled out by a combination of referee Chris Kavanagh and VAR after Scott McTominay was adjudged to have fouled Son Heung-min in the build-up. Solskjaer admitted he would "take back" the words he used at Mourinho but described them as "good colleagues and call it friends". However after Solskjaer's media conference, Mourinho verbally attacked the Norwegian for comments he made about Son in his post-match TV interview.
