Football: Indian football team all set for the AFC Asian Cup 2019

After 8 long years, the Indian football team will once again be competing in the AFC Asian Cup in Jan 2019. Speaking at the team’s new jersey launch for Asia’s biggest football event, Sunil Chhetri said that the team is fully focused on doing well in the tournament and the burden of expectations would be carried by the whole team and not just him. Meanwhile, coach Constantine said that the AFC Asian Cup is a massive tournament for India and everyone involved in the sport. We have three games from January 6th – 14th and I am focusing on them. We will take it one game at a time and look forward to making India proud. The national team had earlier participated in 1964, 1984 and 2011 editions of the AFC Asian Cup.
