Football: Herrera optimistic about his Atletico future

Atletico Madrid’s Hector Herrera aims to play a key role when the 2019-20 La Liga season resumes next month. Herrera joined Atletico Madrid from FC Porto in the summer of 2019, ending his fantastic six-season stay at the Portuguese club. The 30-year-old midfielder has played 14 times for Atletico in La Liga this season. Sixth-placed Atletico Madrid have collected 45 points in 27 La Liga games this season and are just one point behind fourth-placed Real Sociedad.
