Thiago Alcantara is leaving Bayern Munich after agreeing a four-year deal with Premier League champions Liverpool, and on Thursday Bayern head coach Hansi Flick had only good words to say about the Spanish midfielder. After admitting that saying goodbye to Thiago had been an emotional moment for everyone at the club, Flick called Thiago an "absolute professional, an exceptional player and also a great guy", and went on to say "I can only congratulate Kloppo (Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp)" on the signing. Thiago, who helped Bayern win the treble last season, had told the club in July that he wanted a new challenge after seven years with the German giants. The 29-year-old is Liverpool's second summer signing, after Greece left-back Kostas Tsimikas.
