Mohamed Salah prevented Liverpool from dropping points at the start of their Premier League defence after he scored a late penalty during a 4-3 win for the champions on Saturday. Salah beat Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier for the second time from the penalty spot to complete his hat-trick in a frantic game at Anfield that saw four goals in the opening half hour. Leeds three times came from behind to level the score before substitute Rodrigo clipped Fabinho in the closing stages of the game allowing Salah to net his third goal of the game.
